In the Digital Media Class I students will be introduced to a variety of digital medias, such as video, photography, and animation (claymation and stop-motion).
In the Advanced Digital Media Class (Digital Media II) students will work to create a weekly school video, the "Friday Video" (Savage TV). In the videos, students will feature Savage students and teachers during academic and athletic events, interviews, and teacher-challenges. They will also include student created animated shorts and skits. Job positions/assignments are based on job performance.
* Students who can not work independently or collaborate with others to finish their projects may be exited from Digital Media II.
** Students who show a talent and are a good-fit for the Digital Media II class, may be asked to continue in digital media for another trimester in a leadership role (this is NOT A GUARANTEED position for ANY student).
Both Digital Media classes are educational as well as fun. They have class environments in which all students work and teach each other what they have learned. The students in each class work independently and in groups to explore each of the digital mediums. There is some occasional work to be done outside of the classroom to complete video projects. Students are expected to take on and learn a variety of roles for successful completion of this class.
